Project Cost$10-15 Million

The Palm Beach Aquatic and Community Centre is a major redevelopment of the existing Palm Beach Aquatic Centre venue into a regional aquatic centre with co-located aquatic, fitness, and community facilities.

The redevelopment incorporates a new 25m Fina Compliant Pool, Warm Water Program Pool and Learn to Swim Pool all with multiple disability access points. The State of the Art facility will also incorporate a large outdoor zero depth Splash Park with various zones to suit children of all ages and abilities.
This is a major project for the client, Gold Coast City Council.

APS have been engaged by the Main Contractor, Badge Constructions, and are responsible for the construction and installation of all Structural, Hydraulic, Finishes and Fit-out Elements for the Aquatic Works. The pools are constructed as water retaining structures and have all passed hydrostatic testing.

As part of the works the existing 50m Pool will also have a face lift with new tiling, wet deck grating and starting blocks to provide uniformity across the facility. New safety signage will also be installed to bring the pool up to current safety codes.

The Pool Water Treatment has been expertly designed using water saving Neptune Benson Defender Regenerative Media Filters along with energy efficient VSD pumps and UV Disinfection systems.

The Pools have been finished using Metz Tile system. The tiling works are subject to APS’s stringent QA procedures which provides the client with an extended 10 year warranty.

This project is now complete and the community of Palm Beach are enjoying world class Aquatic Facilities.
