The Bundaberg Regional Aquatic Centre is a new state of the art facility designed by DWP and Hydrautech Designs which meets many needs of a growing community from learn-to-swim, rehabilitation and disability access to world-class training and competition pools.

The new aquatic centre will feature three pools, a 50m FINA standard Olympic pool, a 25m FINA Standard Pool, suitable for learn-to-swim and aqua aerobics programs and a warm water program pool to accommodate activities including learn-to-swim, aqua aerobics and water-based physiotherapy. Every Pool will include aquatic platform lifts, ramps and ladders. In addition, the 25m and warm program pool will also have a hoist.

The 50m Pool will accommodate underwater hockey and Water Polo with strict tolerances to FINA requirements for each sport achieved in the design and build.

APS have been engaged by the Main Contractor, Woollam Constructions, under a Construct Contract for the Aquatic Works.

Collaborating and co-ordinating the industries best and most experienced trades and professionals, APS are responsible for the design, construction and installation of all Structural, Hydraulic, Finishes and Fit-out Elements for the entire project.

The Pools will be finished using a Sopro and Agrob Pool Tile System. The tiling works are subject to APS’s stringent QA procedures which provides the client with an extended 10 year warranty.

This project is Under Construction. APS are currently on time and within budget.
